Here is the view from the central entrance into the Pope
Paul VI Audience Hall at the Vatican. Construction of the Hall was completed in
1971:
This is the sculpture that sits (dwells? lurks? seeths?)
behind the chair of the Pope at the center of the stage of the Hall during
papal events:
It is called “The Resurrection,” though, truth be
told, a dozen words come to mind when I look at this, and not one of them is “Resurrection.”
It was completed and installed in 1977.
